The Everglades Chapter of The Association of Fundraising Professionals was formed in 1994. We serve AFP members as well as professionals working in fundraising in the local community by providing monthly continuing education and/ or networking programs.

The Major Gifts Officer will work closely with the Vice President of Advancement and the Director of Advancement to plan and implement strategy for individual major gifts and planned gifts and donor relationship management (manage, nurture, upgrade) to meet short and long term goals of the organization. The Major Gifts Officer plays a critical role in increasing individual donor and foundation support and acts as an ambassador for Avow across the community. Jun 2 - Director of Development at The Naples Zoo
The Director of Development reports to the President and CEO and serves as an integral external ambassador and representative for Naples Zoo. S/he works closely with the Board of Directors’ Development Committee and the Zoo’s senior management team to design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for the Naples Zoo. S/he initiates, implements and regularly evaluates annual and long-range development plans to secure major gifts, foundation/grant funding, corporate sponsorships, annual funds, annual appeal gifts and planned/endowment gifts. S/he oversees fund raising events and effectively coordinates fundraising activities and events with the Zoo’s senior management team. S/he also plays a leadership role in the implementation and management of Zoo Capital Campaigns.
